Us on Roofs: From the seaside town of Gig Harbor, WA, Us on Roofs was formed by three friends with a mutual love for the Pacific Northwest and mid-twentieth century science-fiction. Their songs range from dark cynicism to exuberant gaiety, from spacey time-signature changes that flirt with the weightlessness of interplanetary travel to joyful grooves that make the all-ages crowd dance. Carl Sagan once said, “[W]e have the power to decide the fate of our planet and ourselves. This is a time of great danger, but our species is young, and curious, and brave. It shows much promise.” With his words in mind, Us on Roofs continues to write, record, and perform live. If we do not destroy ourselves, we will one day venture to the stars!
